Souss Massa National Park is located along the coast in the southwestern part of Morrocco between Agadir and Tiznit. The park was created in 1991 The park covers an area of 33800 ha. It starts from the mouth of the river Souss south of Agadir and goes along the southern coast for 65 km. until Aglou beach. There are 7 villages included in this park with around 3000 inhabitants. Those people work mainly in fishing, mussels’ colleting and handicrafts supported by international organizations with the cooperation of the national park administration. This administration works on supporting and educative programs such as guiding.
It is one of the most unique national and international parks in Morrocco. Due to the biodiversity of fauna and flora. The park offers the best chances to spot wildlife in the landscape of the coastline, dunes, marshes and steppes.
